Service Description

Boat away from this class able to effectively communicate with your R2 partner or paddle to navigate class III, practice and master moves you will need in class IV rapids, configure your boat for the type of water you're running, self rescue and rescue others after a flip. Learn advanced paddle strokes and high siding/low siding techniques. Use a boof stroke to land drops with your bow up. Identify when and how to scout a rapid and set safety for your group. Class II skillset prerequisite is recommended . This is not an "outfitted event," but rental boats will be available for reservation on a first come first serve basis. (Make note in your registration form if you need a boat). BYO transportation and all personal boating gear/ PPE. Open to 13 ft boats & smaller. Students need to be physically able to team carry their boat from put in and take out. Participants do not need to have a pre arranges R2 partner, we will rotate partners during the course to maximize the potential for learning from each other. 1/2 off coupons are available for BoatSmith Whitewater Festival Race Safety Volunteers, and will be sent via email upon request when you are ready to book online. Cancellation Policy

If you must cancel your booking, please notify us as soon as possible. Please phone first, but we also need a written email notice containing the current date, the date and name of the booking you are cancelling, and your name and (electronic) signature. Cancellation notices received: -30 days or more before your class or course are eligible for a full refund. -8 to 29 days before your class, 50% refund of your deposit or transfer/deferral of your deposit in full to a different class. -7 days or less before a class or course will not be refunded, but the class or course deposit may be transferred towards a future class or course. -No shows will not be eligible for a refund or transfer.
